Employees venture to Iba, Zambales for annual summer outing
Posted on April 27, 2016
Seventy-six (76) employees (including Rev. Fr. Napoleon Encarnacion, O.P., Rev. Fr. Lauro de Dios, O.P., and Rev. Fr. Oscar Novem Enjaynes, O.P.) joined the annual employees’ summer outing last April 24 to 26, 2016.
This year’s venue is the Bakasyunan Resort and Conference Center in Iba, Zambales.
The first day started with a mass with Rev. Fr. Encarnacion and Rev. Fr. Tereso Campillo as the officiating priests. Immediately after the Eucharistic Celebration, the group started the four-hour drive to the venue.
Employees paraded the beach with their teams’ banners and showed their competitive spirit with their yells in the fun-filled team building activities early in the morning of the second day.
Games such as Pass the Ball, Pencil Drop, Water Relay, and Pakwan Pak All did not only demonstrate teamwork but the kid-like attitude of the participants.
The Culminating Activity and the Awarding Ceremony happened the night of the same day. With the employees divided into two groups, Team Summer Iba bagged the Over-all Championship. The Be Nice Team came in closed second.
On the third day, some employees went for snorkeling while others went for island-hopping activities. Others opted to stay and enjoy the amenities of the resort. The summer outing is spearheaded by the Human Resources Department with the objective of having a break from the day-to-day work routine and to strengthen the camaraderie amongst all employees.
